Estimator Intern | Hospitality Projects (PUNE CANDIDATES ONLY)

Role Overview
We are looking for an Estimator Intern to support our hospitality project advisory and development team in preparing project estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and commercial cost assessments for hotels, resorts, villas, branded residences, and mixed-use developments. The role will involve working with project drawings, specifications, quantities, market rates and vendor quotations to assist in developing accurate project cost estimates and commercial assessments.
The intern will gain hands-on exposure to how project costs are built, analysed, benchmarked and incorporated into hospitality feasibility studies and development decisions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in preparing project cost estimates and BOQs for hospitality developments.
Review architectural and other relevant project drawings to understand scope, quantities, materials, and specifications.
Assist with quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost calculations across different project components.
Collect and analyse market rates, material costs, labour rates, and vendor/subcontractor quotations.
Prepare comparative statements and assist in evaluating quotations and cost variations.
Support the preparation of CAPEX estimates, cost summaries, and project cost benchmarks.
Assist in incorporating estimation inputs into feasibility studies and project advisory reports.
Maintain and update cost databases, rate libraries, estimation sheets, and project trackers.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to obtain relevant project and costing information.
Identify discrepancies or variations in quantities, rates, and estimates and highlight them to the senior team.
Eligibility & Requirements
Recently completed a degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
Basic understanding of construction estimation, BOQs, quantity take-offs and project costing.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret architectural/construction drawings is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical and organised approach to handling project data.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Interest in hospitality development, construction, project management, and real estate.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction drawings.
Prior exposure to estimation, quantity surveying, construction, architecture, or project development.
Understanding of hospitality project components such as guest rooms, F&B areas, public areas, back-of-house, MEP, interiors, and landscaping.
