Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership across Vivienne Westwood’s global operations, ensuring alignment of financial performance with the brand’s creative and sustainability goals. This contract, remote role includes overseeing budgeting and forecasting, managing financial planning and analysis, and guiding long-term financial strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities involve reviewing and interpreting financial statements, leading financial reporting cycles, and advising senior leadership on risk management, cash flow, and capital allocation. The CFO will collaborate with cross-functional teams on pricing, cost control, and investment decisions, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves developing robust internal controls, optimizing financial systems and processes, and mentoring finance team members.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning expertise, including experience designing and managing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Extensive experience in corporate finance, treasury, and risk management within a global or multi-entity environment.
Proven leadership experience in senior finance roles, preferably as CFO or equivalent, with the ability to collaborate effectively in remote settings.
Knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or US GAAP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly beneficial.
Experience in the fashion, retail, or consumer goods sector, and interest in sustainability and social impact, are strong advantages.
