Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a PLC Engineer located in Tamil Nadu. The PLC Engineer will design, program, test, and commission PLC-based control systems for ASRS and related automation projects. Typical responsibilities include developing control logic, preparing I/O lists, configuring communication networks, and integrating PLCs with HMIs, drives, sensors, and other field devices. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and control issues, integrating with WMS , during installation and after commissioning, performing modifications as needed, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of automated equipment. The PLC Engineer will collaborate with project managers, mechanical and electrical teams, and client representatives, prepare technical documentation, and support training and handover activities at the site.
Qualifications
Strong PLC programming iin Siemens TiA 14 portal and troubleshooting skills (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) for industrial automation projects, preferably ASRS.
Experience with HMI/SCADA configuration, field device integration (sensors, actuators, drives), and industrial communication protocols.
Solid understanding of electrical control panels, wiring diagrams, instrumentation, and safety standards relevant to automation systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, develop technical documentation, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional project teams.
Relevant engineering qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics, with prior experience in warehouse or material handling automation considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willingness to work on-site at industrial facilities, and readiness for occasional extended hours during commissioning.
