Role Description The Portfolio Analyst role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Portfolio Analyst will support the investment advisory team in monitoring portfolios, analyzing asset allocations, and preparing performance and risk reports for family office clients. Responsibilities include conducting research on investments and financial markets, assisting in portfolio construction and rebalancing, and generating insights to improve risk-adjusted returns. The role involves preparing client-ready presentations, maintaining accurate data and documentation, and collaborating with team members to ensure portfolios align with client objectives and risk profiles. The Portfolio Analyst will also contribute to internal investment committees and support the implementation of investment decisions across client accounts.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and proficiency with spreadsheets or financial tools.
Knowledge of investments and financial markets, including asset classes, risk-return concepts, and valuation fundamentals.
Experience or training in portfolio management and finance, with an understanding of asset allocation, diversification, and performance measurement.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and explain complex concepts to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are an advantage.
High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a small, specialized team environment.
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and comfort working with sensitive client information.
Prior experience in wealth management, family offices, or investment advisory is beneficial but not mandatory.
