Role Description The Travel Consultant role is a full-time position based in Srinagar with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of office-based and work-from-home tasks. The Travel Consultant will design and customize travel itineraries, handle inquiries, and provide expert advice on destinations, transport options, and accommodation. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing reservations, processing bookings, coordinating travel arrangements, and ensuring accurate documentation. The role involves continuous customer interaction, resolving issues, offering alternatives when plans change, and maintaining clear communication with travelers and service providers. The Travel Consultant will also maintain client records, stay updated on travel regulations and offers, and support the team in achieving service and revenue goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in travel consulting and travel management, with the ability to plan and optimize itineraries based on client needs.
Strong skills in organizing travel arrangements and handling reservations across transport, accommodation, and related services.
Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and effective problem-solving.
Comfort with using booking platforms, travel software, and standard office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM systems).
Good knowledge of domestic and international travel options, basic visa and documentation requirements, and current travel guidelines.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Srinagar, manage time effectively, and coordinate with team members and partners.
Prior experience in travel consulting, tourism, or hospitality is preferred; a relevant diploma or degree in travel, tourism, or business is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy for pricing and quotations, and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
