Role Description The National Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in India, responsible for driving sales performance across all regions. This role involves developing and executing national sales strategies, setting targets, and monitoring performance to achieve revenue and growth objectives. Daily activities include leading and mentoring sales teams, managing key accounts and distribution channels, and coordinating with marketing, production, and finance to ensure alignment with business goals. The National Sales Manager will analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, oversee budgeting for sales operations, and prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior leadership. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with trade partners and ensuring consistent implementation of company policies and brand standards in the field.
Qualifications
Strategic commercial skills in Business Planning and Sales to develop and deliver national growth objectives.
Client-focused experience in Account Management to build, maintain, and grow key customer and channel relationships.
Leadership capabilities in Team Management to guide, motivate, and develop regional and local sales teams.
Financial acumen in Budgeting to plan, control, and optimize sales budgets and resource allocation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and competitor activity.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
Proven experience in FMCG or food products sales management at a regional or national level.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within India as required for market visits and team coordination.
