Role Description The Team Lead role at ILJIN Electronics is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. The Team Lead is responsible for supervising daily production and assembly activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety guidelines, and delivery timelines. This role involves coordinating workloads, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance of team members on the shop floor. The Team Lead will collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position also includes maintaining documentation, reporting production metrics, supporting training of team members, and contributing to efficient resource utilization.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading teams in manufacturing, electronics assembly, or related industrial environments, with strong people management and performance monitoring skills.
Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes such as SMT, automatic and manual insertion, PCB handling, and final assembly, along with basic understanding of quality and testing procedures.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, including experience with production planning, workflow coordination, and continuous improvement practices.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, support training, and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members.
Ability to work on-site in Kanpur, maintain high standards of safety and compliance, and adapt to fast-paced, target-driven production environments.
Diploma or degree in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred; prior experience in EMS or PCB manufacturing is an advantage.
