Social Media Content Creator (Freelance) | Alea Travel, Türkiye
About us
Alea Travel is a family-run boutique travel agency in Istanbul. Three generations of licensed guides have been showing travellers the best of Türkiye since 1984, with private and tailor-made programs for clients from around the world.
The project
We are launching a brand-new Instagram and TikTok channel dedicated to the history, culture and hidden stories of Türkiye. We are looking for a freelance content creator to be the face and voice of this new page and help build it from day one.
What you will do
- Produce 15 Reels / TikToks per month, from idea to final edit
- Appear on camera and narrate in English, using your own microphone and equipment
- Film on location across Türkiye, with occasional trips on a project basis
- Turn history and local knowledge into engaging, accurate, easy-to-watch stories
- Follow trends and help shape the voice and style of the new channel
What we are looking for
- Excellent, fluent English with a clear and natural accent (native or near-native)
- Solid knowledge of history, especially Anatolian, Byzantine and Ottoman history
- Comfortable and confident on camera
- Own smartphone or camera, microphone and editing skills (CapCut, Premiere or similar)
- Based in Türkiye
- Able to issue invoices (freelance receipt or own company)
Nice to have
- Licensed tour guide or a background in history, archaeology or art history
- Spanish or Portuguese
- Experience growing a social media account from scratch
Work model
- Freelance, project-based collaboration
- Monthly fee paid against invoice
- Flexible schedule, with shoot days planned together each month
