Role Description The HMC Operator is responsible for operating Horizontal Machining Centers to manufacture valve components to specified dimensions and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based at the company’s facility in Viralimalai and involves setting up machines, loading and unloading parts, and adjusting parameters to achieve accurate machining. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, monitoring machining operations, inspecting components using measuring instruments, and maintaining production records. The role also requires routine machine maintenance, adherence to safety protocols, and coordination with supervisors and quality control teams to ensure timely and efficient production.
Qualifications
Experience in operating HMC machines, including setup, CNC programming or parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting during production.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications relevant to precision machining.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments (such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and quality of machined parts.
Understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, materials used in valve manufacturing, and standard shop practices.
Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies and production procedures.
Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; experience in valve or related component manufacturing is an advantage.
Basic educational qualification in mechanical, manufacturing, or related trades (ITI, diploma, or equivalent vocational training) preferred.
Ability to work in shifts, follow instructions, collaborate with colleagues, and meet production targets with attention to detail.
