Role Description The Senior Medical Officer will provide expert clinical guidance for health-related programs and services, ensuring evidence-based medical oversight and patient safety. This part-time, remote role includes reviewing and advising on patient care protocols, treatment plans, and clinical documentation in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The Senior Medical Officer will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, offering consultation on complex medical cases and supporting the development of clinical standards and best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities may include virtual case reviews, clinical governance activities, and participation in remote meetings to align medical strategies with organizational goals. The role may also involve training and mentoring healthcare staff to improve clinical competencies and quality of care.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medicine, with a valid medical degree and appropriate professional licensure.
Extensive experience in Patient Care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
Competence in Surgery or surgical decision-making, with the ability to provide guidance on procedural risks and outcomes.
Experience Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Background in Training healthcare professionals, including mentoring, clinical teaching, or developing educational materials.
Proven experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, or medical oversight of health programs.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in clinical documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours, and meet deadlines reliably.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for reports, consultations, and virtual meetings.
