Role Description The Block Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Nuagada, responsible for overseeing and coordinating healthcare activities within an assigned block or region. This role involves planning and monitoring health programs, supporting field staff, and ensuring that services reach targeted communities effectively and on schedule. Daily tasks include liaising with local health workers and authorities, maintaining accurate records and reports, organizing meetings and trainings, and tracking key performance indicators for ongoing initiatives. The Block Coordinator will also support community outreach activities, gather feedback from beneficiaries, and help identify gaps and opportunities for improving service delivery. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders is essential to ensure alignment with organizational standards and local health guidelines.
Qualifications
Program coordination and planning skills, including experience managing community or healthcare initiatives at the block or district level.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with community members, health workers, and local authorities.
Administrative and organizational abilities, such as maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and monitoring project progress.
Basic data collection, analysis, and reporting skills to track outcomes and support evidence-based decision-making.
Knowledge of public health or primary healthcare systems, preferably with experience working in rural or semi-urban communities.
Ability to work on-site in Nuagada, travel within the block as needed, and adapt to field-based work environments.
Minimum educational qualification of a bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, healthcare management, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of specific degrees.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with local language and culture in the Nuagada region is highly beneficial.
