Role Description The Director of Billing is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing Provn’s end-to-end billing operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue capture. This role leads the design, implementation, and optimization of billing processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation across multiple customer segments and products. The Director of Billing collaborates closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Customer Success to align billing practices with business objectives and provide a seamless experience for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring key billing and revenue cycle metrics, resolving complex billing issues, managing tools and systems, and developing policies that support scalable growth. The role also involves leading and mentoring a billing team, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to financial forecasting and strategic decisions related to pricing and revenue recognition.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Billing Process, including invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and process optimization.
Candidates should possess deep experience in Revenue Cycle Management, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and end-to-end revenue integrity.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret billing data, monitor KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles related to billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience leading billing or revenue operations teams in a technology or SaaS environment.
Proficiency with billing platforms, ERP or accounting systems, and spreadsheets or BI tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, Product, and Customer-facing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Experience working in remote, distributed teams and managing projects across time zones.
