Role Description The Shift Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing daily café operations during assigned shifts. This role includes supervising team members, assigning duties, and ensuring that service standards, hygiene protocols, and quality guidelines are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor monitors inventory levels, coordinates stock replenishment, and supports cash handling and basic reporting at the end of each shift. The role involves assisting with training new staff, resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally, and maintaining a safe, orderly workspace. The Shift Supervisor also collaborates with management to implement promotions, uphold brand standards, and foster a positive, efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Experience supervising or leading teams in hospitality, retail, or café environments, with the ability to coordinate staff and delegate tasks effectively.
Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle guest feedback, resolve issues, and interact courteously with diverse customers.
Basic knowledge of café or food & beverage operations such as order handling, beverage preparation workflows, hygiene and safety practices, and stock monitoring.
Comfort with cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and simple end-of-shift reports or reconciliations.
Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru with flexible schedules, including weekends, mornings, and evenings as required.
Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with the capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment and support multiple tasks simultaneously.
Prior experience in a coffee shop or quick-service restaurant is preferred; training experience or mentoring juniors is an advantage.
Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management certifications are a plus.
