Role Description The Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Habibpur. The Manager oversees day-to-day shop operations, including inventory management, stock verification, and ensuring timely availability of essential commodities. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing customer queues, addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and ensuring that all transactions comply with public distribution rules and regulations. The Manager maintains accurate documentation, prepares daily and periodic reports, and coordinates with local authorities and suppliers for stock allocation and delivery. The role also involves implementing basic financial controls, monitoring cash handling, and promoting a fair, transparent, and safe environment for customers and team members.
Qualifications
Ability to manage retail operations, including inventory control, stock audits, and record-keeping.
Strong customer service skills with the capacity to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and communicate clearly with diverse community members.
Basic financial and administrative skills, such as cash handling, reconciliation, and report preparation.
Organizational and supervisory skills to coordinate staff schedules, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn public distribution system guidelines, local regulations, and compliance procedures.
Comfort working on-site in a busy shop environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods and manage peak customer hours.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail management, administration, or accounting is an advantage.
Prior experience in retail, distribution, or community service roles is preferred but not mandatory.
