About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Analyst with 2–3 years of relevant experience to manage and support the company's financial operations.
The role will involve managing the accounting records, preparing budgets and forecasts, developing MIS reports, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring the books are properly maintained and finalized.
This is a fully remote position with responsibility for the company's day-to-day financial reporting and analysis.
What You'll Do
Manage the company's day-to-day accounting and financial records
Maintain the books of accounts using QuickBooks
Finalize monthly and year-end books of accounts
Prepare and maintain budgets and financial plans
Prepare financial forecasts and regularly update projections
Prepare MIS reports and management reports
Analyze actual performance against budgets and forecasts
Identify significant variances and provide explanations
Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance
Prepare monthly financial statements and financial summaries
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Review accounting entries and ensure financial records are accurate and complete
Maintain proper supporting documentation for financial transactions
Assist with financial planning and decision-making
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers when required
Ensure financial records are maintained in an organized and timely manner
Help improve accounting, reporting, and financial processes as the company grows
Requirements
2–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role
ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports
Experience with QuickBooks
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
Experience with finalization of accounts
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who can independently manage the company's financial records, prepare meaningful management reports, and provide management with a clear understanding of the company's financial performance.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving beyond basic bookkeeping and working across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
