Role Description The Die Maintenance Senior Engineer – Gravity Die Casting is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities for gravity die casting equipment and dies, including planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating maintenance and repair work, monitoring equipment health, maintaining maintenance records, and implementing improvements to reduce downtime. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to support stable casting operations, troubleshoot process-related issues, and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards. The role may also involve guiding junior technicians or engineers, participating in root cause analysis for failures, and recommending upgrades or modifications to enhance reliability and productivity.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for gravity die casting machines and associated tooling.
Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance Engineering and Preventive Maintenance, including planning schedules, documenting activities, and implementing reliability-focused practices.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance related to industrial machinery, including basic troubleshooting of electrical systems, sensors, and control panels.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (or similar discipline) are preferred.
Experience in gravity die casting operations, die maintenance, and metal casting processes, with a focus on safety, quality, and minimizing downtime, is highly beneficial.
Ability to read technical drawings, use standard maintenance tools and measuring instruments, and work systematically under time constraints.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
