Role Description The Tax and Audit Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for supporting statutory audits, tax computations, and related compliance activities. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing working papers, assisting in planning and execution of audit procedures, and helping draft audit reports and documentation. The role involves compiling and analyzing financial data, supporting direct and indirect tax filings, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards. The Tax and Audit Executive will liaise with clients to collect information, clarify queries, and provide status updates, while coordinating with internal team members to meet deadlines and maintain quality. The position also includes maintaining organized records, staying updated on changes in tax and audit regulations, and contributing to process improvements within the firm.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation concepts, and audit standards, with the ability to apply them in practical client scenarios.
Proficiency in using accounting and tax software, as well as MS Excel and other office productivity tools for data analysis and documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear workpapers, reports, and client correspondence.
Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment and interact respectfully and constructively with clients on-site.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or in progress) are an advantage.
Prior internship or work experience in audit, taxation, or accounting is beneficial, especially in a CA firm or similar professional services setting.
