Corporate Accountant

Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial records of our transportation business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The candidate should be highly organised, proficient in accounting software and spreadsheets, and capable of supporting the finance team with accurate and timely financial information.

We coordinate executive transportation services across major Canadian cities, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver. Through a centralized booking and dispatch model, we support corporate clients, executives, event organizers, and international travellers who expect reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process supplier invoices and customer payments.
Perform bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and reports.
Record and reconcile trip-related revenue, supplier payments, and operational expenses.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Monitor cash flow and prepare payment schedules.
Ensure accuracy of financial data and maintain proper documentation.
Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
Coordinate with external accountants or auditors when required.
Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal financial policies.
Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements to enhance financial controls.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, or similar).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Background
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
4+ years of accounting experience.
Experience in service-based businesses, logistics, travel, transportation, or similar industries is preferred.
Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting.
Experience working in a remote environment is an advantage.
Working Hours
Monday to Saturday
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Toronto Time (Eastern Time)
This schedule supports collaboration with leadership, operations teams, and external partners across Canada.
