Role Description The Maat K12 Curriculum Posting Volunteer is a remote volunteer role responsible for assisting with the organization and posting of K–12 curriculum materials to the school’s digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing curriculum content for clarity and completeness, formatting documents for online use, and uploading digital and physical curriculum descriptions and resources to designated systems. The volunteer may collaborate with curriculum developers and educators to ensure materials are accurately categorized by grade level, subject, and learning objectives. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining version control, updating existing postings as content is revised, and helping improve the usability of the online curriculum repository for families and students.
Qualifications
Background or strong interest in Education, with awareness of K–12 learning needs and diverse student populations.
Skills in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design to understand structure, objectives, and alignment of learning materials.
Writing and Research skills to summarize, label, and verify curriculum content accurately.
Attention to detail and basic technical skills for document formatting, file management, and use of online platforms or learning management systems.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with staff and volunteers.
Commitment to educational equity and comfort working with culturally responsive and inclusive curriculum.
Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or curriculum support is beneficial but not required.
