About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
About Euzoe - Euzoe Health is an early-stage healthcare technology company building an early cancer diagnostic intelligence platform designed to help identify elevated cancer risk earlier using data already generated through routine care. If you've lost someone you love to cancer, this opportunity may mean something different to you. Euzoe is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join at the ground floor as a true technical co-founder.
The company is incorporated, the product vision and use case are defined, and an early working demo exists. Euzoe is now moving into the next stage of technical development and needs someone who can take meaningful ownership of the architecture, engineering, AI/ML, and product foundation required to turn the platform into a scalable healthcare product.
Euzoe is bootstrapped and pre-revenue, meaning there is no cash compensation available today. If that's an immediate "No thank you", I get it. If you've lost someone to cancer, or multiple people clsoe to you as I have, please keep reading.
This is an equity-first founder opportunity for someone who wants substantial ownership in what they build and is comfortable joining before financing. This is not a freelance project or a management-only role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can build.
What You Would Own
• Technical architecture and engineering direction
• AI and machine-learning development
• Backend and data infrastructure
• Security, privacy, and healthcare-readiness planning
• Technical roadmap and build priorities
• Future technical hiring and team leadership
Euzoe’s underlying technical methodology is intentionally not described in detail in a public posting. More can be shared with serious candidates as conversations progress.
What Euzoe Is Looking For
Strong experience in several of the following:
• Software engineering
• AI / machine learning
• Backend or platform architecture
• Data engineering
• Healthcare technology or clinical data
• Cloud infrastructure and security
• Early-stage product development
Healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Experience with regulated healthcare technology, clinical AI, medical software, or FDA-facing products would be especially valuable.
Candidates must be based in the United States.
Time Commitment - Approximately 10–15 hours per week initially. The structure can be flexible for someone who currently has a full-time role. I'm not too bothered about that, as I'm more focused on getting this built further having had calls with VC's already. The goal is to find someone who sees this as a company they may want to help build for years, not a short-term side project.
Equity
This role is intended to come with substantial co-founder-level equity. The exact structure will depend on experience, commitment, technical ownership, and long-term involvement, with appropriate founder vesting and agreements. For the right person who becomes Euzoe’s long-term technical leader, the opportunity is intended to represent meaningful ownership in the company, working by my side.
Why This Matters
A personal experience with cancer is not required, but it would be meaningful. Someone who has lost a parent, spouse, partner, sibling, close friend, or someone else important to them may understand the urgency behind this work in a way that goes beyond the technology itself.
This is early, and there is significant work ahead. For the right person, it's an opportunity to join at the true beginning, take meaningful ownership, and help build something that could matter.
