Volunteer Graphic Designer – Social Media & Digital Content
Organization: CZOA
Location: Remote
Term: One year, renewable by mutual agreement
Compensation: Volunteer
WHAT YOU BRING
• Genuine interest in urban planning, design, housing, or Canadian cities
• Comfort using Adobe Suite; experience in Figma, Canva, After Effects, or motion graphics would be an asset
• Knowledge of typography, layout, and basic web/social media design
• Clear, engaging written communication skills in English
Students and emerging professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design event posters, flyers, and promotional materials for lectures, workshops, networking events, and other programs.
• Create graphics and visual content for social media platforms, including Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Develop visual concepts and supporting graphics for events and initiatives.
• Create digital assets for websites, email communications, and other online platforms.
• Develop and maintain reusable design templates in Canva, InDesign, or other design software to support consistent organizational communications.
• Complete clearly assigned design tasks within agreed-upon deadlines.
• Communicate proactively if a deadline or project requirement cannot be met.
• Work independently within a remote, deadline-based environment.
