Role Description: The ReadRise Undergraduate Leadership internship is a selective, student-led leadership position for undergraduates passionate about literacy, education, and community impact. Fellows serve as the founding leaders of ReadRise chapters on their campus, mobilizing peers to design and execute innovative projects that combat illiteracy in their local communities.
Qualifications
Interest in education, literacy, or community development, and a strong commitment to Readrise Education’s mission.
Organizational and time-management abilities, including experience coordinating projects, events, or volunteer activities.
Written and verbal communication skills for outreach, messaging, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Basic digital literacy and comfort using online tools, spreadsheets, and communication platforms in a remote environment.
Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
Current undergraduate student or recent graduate from any field of study; prior nonprofit or community service experience is a plus.
Cultural sensitivity and an inclusive mindset when engaging with students and families from varied backgrounds.
