Executive Director

Role Description The Executive Director is a full-time, remote position responsible for overseeing overall company strategy, operations, and growth. This role includes setting organizational goals, guiding logistics and procurement activities, and ensuring that service quality and delivery timelines are consistently met. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and client service teams to manage budgets, optimize processes, and maintain strong customer relationships. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing performance metrics, leading strategic planning, supporting business development initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The role also includes building and mentoring a high-performing team and representing the organization with key partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing operations, strategy, or logistics in a transportation, supply chain, or related sector.
Strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Experience in business development, client relationship management, or partnerships that drive revenue and organizational growth.
Proficiency with digital tools and systems used for logistics, procurement, and remote team collaboration.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage remote teams, prioritize multiple initiatives, and maintain accountability for outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
Familiarity with regional transport routes and regulatory requirements between Dar es Salaam and Njombe is a plus.
