Vice President, Product
Location: United States | Full-Time | Remote / Hybrid / On-site
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
About the Role
We are looking for a Vice President, Product to lead the organization’s product strategy, product development, and long-term product direction.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining product vision, developing product roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, improving customer experiences, and ensuring that products deliver meaningful business and customer value.
You will work closely with executive leadership and partner across Technology, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Customer Service, Customer Success, Marketing, and Business Development. The role will have significant influence over product strategy, product architecture priorities, roadmap planning, user experience, product performance, and the overall product development process.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership with commercial judgment, customer insight, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate business objectives and market opportunities into scalable products.
Responsibilities
• Lead the overall Product function and establish a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap covering near-term priorities and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Translate customer needs, market trends, business requirements, competitive intelligence, and organizational priorities into product strategies and initiatives.
• Establish product prioritization frameworks and make informed decisions regarding product investments, resources, timelines, and strategic trade-offs.
• Lead the product lifecycle from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Engineering and Technology teams to define product requirements, specifications, priorities, and delivery expectations.
• Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and Customer Success teams to identify recurring customer needs and operational opportunities that can be addressed through product improvements.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure product development incorporates appropriate regulatory, risk, governance, and control requirements.
• Develop product requirements, business cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation necessary to support effective product development.
• Establish product performance metrics and monitor adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, usage, customer satisfaction, and other relevant indicators.
• Conduct regular product reviews and use data, customer feedback, and market intelligence to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Lead product discovery, user research, customer interviews, competitive analysis, and market research to validate product opportunities.
• Oversee product launches and coordinate cross-functional launch planning across Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and other relevant teams.
• Establish processes for product experimentation, testing, feedback collection, iteration, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate new technologies, market developments, partnerships, and emerging opportunities that may influence the organization’s product strategy.
• Develop product governance, decision-making standards, documentation practices, and product management processes that can scale with the organization.
• Partner with Marketing and Business Development teams to develop product positioning, go-to-market strategies, customer messaging, and commercial launch plans.
• Monitor competitor products, market developments, customer expectations, and industry trends to identify potential opportunities and risks.
• Manage product budgets, resources, priorities, and team capacity to ensure effective execution of the product roadmap.
• Establish executive-level product dashboards, KPIs, reporting, and strategic reviews for senior leadership.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Product organization, including product managers, product operations, product strategy, and related functions.
• Establish a strong product culture focused on customer value, disciplined prioritization, measurable outcomes, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a senior product leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong execution and build products that meet customer needs while supporting broader business objectives.
The strongest candidates will typically have:
• 20+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, product development, product operations, or a related field.
• Significant senior leadership experience as a VP of Product, Head of Product, Chief Product Officer, Group Product Manager, or equivalent product leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, product organizations, and scalable product management processes.
• Strong understanding of the complete product lifecycle, including discovery, research, requirements, development, launch, adoption, measurement, and optimization.
• Proven experience managing complex products, platforms, or technology-enabled services with multiple stakeholders and customer segments.
• Strong ability to translate customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into clear product priorities and requirements.
• Experience working closely with Engineering, Technology, Operations, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Risk, Compliance, and executive leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using product metrics, customer data, market research, and business performance data to guide product decisions.
• Demonstrated experience leading product launches, major product initiatives, platform improvements, and cross-functional transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of user experience, product usability, customer journeys, experimentation, and product performance measurement.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial judgment and understanding of how product decisions influence customer adoption, retention, revenue, operational efficiency, and long-term business value.
• Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, mentoring, and managing senior product professionals and high-performing product teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Design, or a related field preferred. MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
Experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, derivatives, financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage, trading, banking, or other technology-driven financial businesses is a plus, but it is not required.
We are also interested in candidates from SaaS, technology, enterprise software, e-commerce, marketplaces, financial technology, and other organizations with complex digital products.
Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in the United States. The company offers remote, hybrid, and on-site working arrangements depending on the individual, location, and business needs.
Travel may be required as needed for leadership meetings, product planning sessions, customer research, partner discussions, team meetings, conferences, and industry events.
