Role Description The Mechanical Engineer API role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting mechanical systems that integrate with software and API-driven platforms. Day-to-day tasks include developing mechanical concepts and models, performing calculations and simulations, and creating detailed CAD drawings and specifications. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting R&D activities, and contributing to the integration of mechanical components with digital systems and tools. The Mechanical Engineer will document designs, prepare technical reports, and assist in project planning to ensure that solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Core mechanical engineering skills, including Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and Machine Design, that enable robust and reliable system development.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies suitable for manufacturing and testing.
Experience in Project Management to plan tasks, track progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver engineering solutions on schedule.
Background in Research and Development (R&D) to explore new technologies, improve existing designs, and support innovation in mechanical systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the capability to perform engineering calculations and simulations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with API-driven products or systems and comfort working in digital, remote-first environments is beneficial.
