Role Description
This is a remote contract role for an Event Host at Entertainment Finance Summit. The Event Host will guide virtual and hybrid sessions, introduce speakers and panelists, and maintain an engaging, professional tone throughout the program. Responsibilities include facilitating live discussions and Q&A, managing transitions between sessions, and clearly communicating event logistics and housekeeping items to attendees. The role involves coordinating closely with production, programming, and technical teams, monitoring chat and participant engagement tools, and helping ensure sessions run on time. The Event Host will also support audience interaction, reinforce key messages about the summit’s mission, and represent the brand in a polished, inclusive manner.
Qualifications
Strong public speaking, on-camera presence, and clear, professional verbal communication skills.
Event hosting, moderation, or emcee experience for conferences, webinars, or live-streamed events.
Ability to facilitate discussions, manage Q&A, and keep sessions on schedule in a dynamic environment.
Comfort with virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Hopin, or similar) and basic troubleshooting.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on inclusive, audience-friendly engagement.
Knowledge or strong interest in entertainment, finance, media, or related industries is highly beneficial.
Proven reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow run-of-show and production notes.
Availability to work across different time zones as needed and maintain a professional remote workspace.
Prior experience in hosting, broadcasting, live events, or communications is preferred; relevant education in communications, media, or business is a plus.
