Role Description This is a contract, remote role for General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners providing primary care and family medicine services via telehealth and other digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting remote consultations, assessing and diagnosing common acute and chronic conditions, prescribing and managing treatments, and coordinating follow-up care. Practitioners will provide health education, AHPRA Registration, preventative care advice, and support patients in managing long-term conditions. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, and participating in case discussions and continuous clinical quality improvement. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and engagement in ongoing training and development are expected.
Qualifications
Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with experience managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
Background in Family Medicine, with a strong focus on holistic, patient-centered care across different ages and life stages.
Nursing and advanced practice nursing skills for Nurse Practitioners, including assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making.
Experience in Training, mentoring, or supporting colleagues and participation in continuous professional development, AHPRA Registered.
Current, unrestricted professional registration/license as a General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner in the relevant jurisdiction.
Strong telehealth competencies, including comfort with electronic medical records, digital communication tools, and remote patient monitoring.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and culturally sensitive, non-discriminatory care.
