Role Description The Laser Cut role at Bj Graph is a full-time, on-site position based in Ernakulam. The team member will operate laser cutting machines, set up materials according to specifications, and follow technical drawings or digital files to produce accurate cuts. Daily tasks include monitoring machine performance, adjusting settings for different materials and thicknesses, and conducting basic maintenance such as cleaning lenses and checking alignment. The role also involves inspecting finished parts for quality, measuring dimensions against job requirements, and separating, labeling, and organizing completed work for delivery or further processing. The team member will follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and coordinate with design and production staff to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience operating laser cutting or similar CNC machinery and basic understanding of machine settings, material handling, and cutting parameters.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, digital design files, and production instructions with strong attention to measurement accuracy.
Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to workshop safety protocols.
Basic computer skills for loading files, adjusting machine programs, and recording production data.
Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections of finished parts.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production, design, and logistics teams.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely; prior manufacturing or fabrication experience is an advantage.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation, fabrication, or related fields is preferred.
