Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Drone Operator role located in Rajkot. The Commercial Drone Operator will conduct safe and compliant drone flights for activities such as aerial surveying, mapping, inspections, and photography or videography, depending on project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include planning flight paths, performing pre-flight and post-flight checks, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring adherence to all aviation and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with project managers and technical teams to collect, store, and transfer data, as well as documenting flight operations and reporting any issues. The Commercial Drone Operator may also assist in basic equipment maintenance and support training or demonstrations for internal team members and clients.
Qualifications
Strong operational skills in Drone Piloting and Piloting, with hands-on experience controlling commercial drones in various environments.
Knowledge of Drones and UAV systems, including hardware components, flight controllers, and basic troubleshooting.
Ability to provide or support Training on drone safety, operational procedures, and best practices.
Understanding of local aviation rules, airspace regulations, and standard safety protocols for commercial drone operations.
Attention to detail, situational awareness, and the ability to assess risk in field conditions.
Good communication skills to collaborate with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Comfort working on-site and outdoors, with readiness to travel locally for field assignments as needed.
Relevant certification or license for commercial drone operation (where applicable) is highly preferred.
Prior experience in aerial surveying, photography, videography, or inspections is an advantage.
Basic computer skills for handling flight logs, data transfer, and report preparation.
