Role Description The Lighting Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Trivandrum. The Lighting Technician will install, configure, test, and maintain lighting systems for a variety of environments, ensuring that all setups meet design specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include working with lighting control systems, assisting in lighting design implementation, handling electrical connections related to lighting, and performing routine inspections and troubleshooting. The role also involves collaborating with project managers, designers, and other technicians to plan lighting layouts, prepare equipment for events or installations, and support stage lighting when required. Accurate documentation of work performed and adherence to safety protocols are expected in all activities.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Lighting Design and Lighting, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and implement lighting layouts.
Hands-on experience with Lighting Control systems, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting of controllers and related equipment.
Strong skills in Electrical Wiring related to lighting installations, with a clear understanding of safety codes and best practices.
Experience in Stage Lighting, including rigging, focusing, and operating lighting for events or performances.
Relevant technical education or certification in electrical, electronics, or lighting technology is preferred.
Ability to work safely with tools and equipment, follow standard operating procedures, and comply with local electrical regulations.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work on-site, occasionally during evenings or weekends, depending on project and event requirements.
