What You Will Get To Do:
Administer and support large IBM i (iSeries/IBMi) environments to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
Perform operating system upgrades, patching activities, and manage Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs) and cumulative PTF packages.
Monitor system performance including CPU, memory, storage, and disk utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Manage backup and recovery operations using BRMS or equivalent tools, including disaster recovery planning and testing.
Configure and maintain LPAR environments, TCP/IP networking, and connected system devices.
Create and maintain user profiles, security settings, and access controls in accordance with security policies and compliance requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve IBM i hardware, software, and infrastructure-related issues while coordinating with vendors and support teams as required.
What You Will Bring:
2+ years of IBM i (iSeries/IBMi) system administration experience.
Experience with IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, security administration, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture and core IBM i technologies.
Experience using BRMS or equivalent backup and recovery solutions.
Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing.
Experience managing LPAR environments and TCP/IP configurations.
Knowledge of IBM i security concepts including user authorities, object security, auditing, and system monitoring tools.
Exposure to IBM i scripting or automation technologies such as CL, SQL, or RPG would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
