Role Description The Deputy Manager Quality Assurance is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This position is responsible for overseeing daily quality checks across production lines, monitoring adherence to quality standards, and ensuring that fabrics meet customer and regulatory requirements. The role includes planning and executing quality audits, supervising QA staff, reviewing inspection reports, and coordinating with production teams to resolve non-conformities. The Deputy Manager Quality Assurance will implement corrective and preventive actions, update quality documentation, and support training on quality processes and safety practices. The role also involves collaborating with management on process improvements, supporting customer quality queries, and contributing to continuous enhancement of quality systems.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of textile or fabric quality standards, testing methods, and inspection procedures.
Experience in quality assurance or quality control within manufacturing, preferably in textiles or related industries.
Ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, SOPs, and documentation.
Proficiency in data analysis, report preparation, and use of basic quality tools (e.g., checklists, control charts, root cause analysis).
Effective team leadership skills, including supervising staff, delegating tasks, and coaching for performance.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across production, procurement, and management.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements relevant to textile manufacturing.
Comfort with on-site work in a factory environment and the ability to adapt to fast-paced production schedules.
