Role Description The Independent Director will provide objective oversight, strategic guidance, and governance support to Manish Mentor Consultant and its client engagements. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in board and committee meetings, reviewing business plans and performance reports, assessing risk and compliance matters, and offering independent perspectives on major decisions and policies. The role involves collaborating with internal leadership to strengthen governance frameworks, ensure ethical practices, and support long-term value creation. This is a contract role. It is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site meetings and some work-from-home flexibility as needed.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, board-level decision-making, and advisory or consulting roles.
Strong background in strategy development, risk management, and organizational planning.
Ability to analyze complex business information, financial reports, and compliance documents with sound judgment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to offer balanced, impartial advice.
Proven record of integrity, independence, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Experience mentoring senior leaders or founders and supporting change management or business transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with regulatory and legal frameworks relevant to corporate governance in India is highly beneficial.
Advanced degree in business, finance, law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience at a senior leadership level.
