# HR Technology Manager
## About the Role
Ballard Spahr is seeking an HR Technology Manager to lead the firm's HR Technology function, overseeing HR systems, analytics, technology projects, and a team of HRIS Analysts. This role serves as a strategic partner to Human Resources and business leaders, ensuring HR technology is optimized, secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
The HR Technology Manager will lead HR technology initiatives including system enhancements, integrations, reporting, people analytics, project governance, testing, release management, change management, and continuous process improvement. The role also uses data and reporting to support business decisions, develops solutions for stakeholder needs, and promotes successful technology adoption through collaboration and training.
This position is remote for candidates located in **Alaska, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, or South Dakota**.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of HR technology initiatives and system enhancements.
* Manage HR technology projects, timelines, resources, project plans, and third-party consultants.
* Establish project cadence, schedule recurring meetings, track progress, and proactively address roadblocks.
* Partner with key stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, communicate project status, and ensure business needs are met.
* Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Talent, and IT leadership to align HR technology with business strategy.
* Lead and mentor HRIS Analysts while prioritizing workstreams, projects, and deliverables.
* Allocate and prioritize team deliverables based on capacity and business priorities.
* Lead recurring team status meetings and maintain alignment with project timelines.
* Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to enhance user experience and data integrity.
* Oversee the configuration, design, and deployment of HR systems.
* Ensure HR system performance, scalability, and effective operation.
* Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for HR systems.
* Facilitate working sessions to support solution design and technology-related decision-making.
* Support HR technology reporting, analytics, testing, release management, integrations, and change management.
* Use data and reporting to support business decisions and stakeholder needs.
* Drive continuous process improvement and automation of departmental functions.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Human Resource Administration with an Information Systems minor, or equivalent experience.
* At least **3 years of people management experience**.
* Advanced Workday configuration experience.
* Advanced Workday security experience.
* Advanced Workday reporting experience.
* Advanced Workday tenant management skills.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with HRIS and information systems.
* Strong business analysis and problem-solving abilities.
* Project management and critical thinking skills.
* Proven experience improving processes and automating departmental functions.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical users.
* Ability to provide excellent customer service.
* Regular attendance and flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
