Prepare applicable federal tax schedules and supporting forms, including Schedules A, B, C, D, E, and other relevant forms.
Manage assigned client tax files from document collection through final filing.
Review and analyze tax documents, financial records, and supporting information for accuracy and completeness.
Identify missing information, inconsistencies, tax implications, deductions, credits, and potential compliance issues.
Conduct independent tax research using applicable U.S. tax laws, IRS guidance, and regulatory resources.
Handle or assist with IRS notices, tax inquiries, amendments, and client correspondence.
Communicate directly with clients regarding document requirements, tax positions, filing status, deadlines, and outstanding items.
Prepare and maintain accurate workpapers, notes, supporting schedules, and client documentation.
Review returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission.
Track multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion of federal and state filing requirements.
Collaborate with tax managers and senior team members on complex tax matters and escalate issues when necessary.
Support tax planning discussions and identify opportunities or concerns based on client circumstances.
Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial, tax, and personal information.
Contribute to internal quality-control processes, workflow improvements, and tax-season operational efficiency.
Support the team during peak U.S. tax filing and extension periods.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Taxation, Business, or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience preparing and filing U.S. individual income tax returns.
Strong working knowledge of Form 1040, Form 1040-NR, and related schedules and forms.
Strong understanding of common individual tax matters
Ability to research tax-related issues and independently interpret applicable IRS rules and guidance.
Experience communicating directly with clients and resolving tax-document and filing-related questions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment on when to escalate complex matters.
Willingness and ability to work night shifts during the U.S. tax filing season and extension periods.
Ability to work consistently from the Kukatpally office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience preparing complex individual returns involving investments, rental properties, self-employment, foreign income, or nonresident taxation.
Familiarity with U.S. state income tax returns and multi-state filing requirements.
Experience responding to IRS notices and tax authority correspondence.
Experience preparing amended returns and resolving prior-year tax issues.
Experience working directly with U.S.-based clients.
Knowledge of business tax returns is an added advantage.
Additional tax-related training, certifications, or advanced coursework are a plus but not required.

The ideal candidate is someone who wants to build deeper expertise in U.S. taxation, continuously improve technical knowledge, manage responsibilities independently, and contribute meaningfully to the growth and quality of the tax team.
If you are dependable, detail-oriented, technically strong, and interested in building a long-term career in U.S. taxation, we would like to hear from you.
