Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer is responsible for designing HVAC systems for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. This full-time, on-site role based in Thane involves preparing detailed HVAC layouts, performing heat load calculations, sizing equipment, and coordinating with other MEP disciplines. The engineer will develop technical drawings and documentation, review designs for constructability, and support project teams during installation and commissioning. Day-to-day tasks include attending coordination meetings, responding to design queries, and updating designs based on site conditions or client feedback. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement in design practices and contributing to energy-efficient, sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
Strong HVAC and HVAC Design skills, including system selection, equipment sizing, and layout planning.
Ability to perform accurate engineering Calculations, including heat load, air flow, and pressure drop.
Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Proficiency with relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and MS Office tools.
Understanding of local and international building codes, standards, and best practices related to HVAC
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Prior experience in MEP consultancy or building services engineering is an advantage.
