About The Recipe Tailor:
The Recipe Tailor is a modern food brand building thoughtfully crafted companions for chai, coffee and everyday moments.
We’re at an early stage of growth, which means there’s a lot happening at once: new products, packaging, website, marketplaces, quick commerce, content, sales, manufacturing and operations.
We’re now looking for someone to work closely with the founder and help across these different parts of the business.
This is not a narrowly defined internship.
You’ll get exposure to how a consumer brand is actually built from the inside.
What you'll work on:
Your work could look very different from one day to the next.
You may be:
Researching marketplaces, quick commerce platforms and new sales channels
Looking at website, sales and customer data to understand what is working and what isn’t
Helping with product launches and new product development
Coordinating with vendors, agencies and suppliers
Helping plan and execute content shoots
Supporting social media and marketing experiments
Working on packaging, listings and product content
Helping with sales outreach and business development
Spending time at the factory understanding production and operations
Building simple trackers, reports and processes
Researching competitors and consumer trends
Helping solve random problems that come up while building an early-stage business
There will also be projects we haven’t thought of yet.
That’s part of the role.
Who we're looking for:
You don’t need years of experience.
You do need to be someone who:
Is genuinely curious and likes figuring things out
Takes ownership instead of waiting for detailed instructions
Is comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets and basic numbers
Can research properly and turn information into something useful
Communicates clearly
Is organised and follows through on things
Is comfortable speaking with vendors, customers and external partners
Doesn’t mind switching between very different kinds of work
Is willing to spend time on the ground, not just behind a laptop
Wants to understand how a consumer brand actually gets built
We care much more about attitude, curiosity and ownership than a specific degree.
This maybe a good fit if:
You’re interested in startups, consumer brands, food, D2C, marketing, operations, e-commerce or entrepreneurship.
You like the idea of working closely with a founder rather than being restricted to one department.
And you’re comfortable with the fact that early-stage businesses can be messy, fast-moving and occasionally chaotic.
What you'll get exposure to:
You’ll get a front-row view into:
Building and scaling a consumer brand
Product development
Manufacturing
E-commerce
Quick commerce and marketplaces
Brand and content
Sales
Unit economics
Operations
Data and decision-making
You’ll also get to see a lot of decisions being made in real time: including the ones that don’t work.
