About this role
We are looking for a Yard Hand with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to join our Plant team at Wellcamp (Toowoomba).
Reporting to the Corporate Plant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on role with the potential to support projects on an ad hoc basis.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure plant equipment is safe and reliable.
Keep the yard and workshop clean and safe, managing waste and disposal.
Manage inventory for tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
Safely coordinate the movement of vehicles and machinery in the yard and workshop.
Handle loading and unloading of deliveries, plant, and equipment.
Conduct daily inspections of the workshop and equipment.
Follow company safety policies and all health and safety regulations.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following:
High Risk Work Licenses (e.g., Forklift, rigging, dogging)
RII competencies (e.g., working at heights, confined spaces, excavator)
Workshop and yard experience desirable
Understanding of plant, maintenance, and logistics processes
Good communication and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised yard
