Role Description This is a full-time Robotics Engineer role based in Coimbatore with a hybrid work model, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and optimize robotic systems and automation workflows that support large-format 3D printing and advanced fabrication processes. Daily responsibilities include programming and testing robotic equipment, integrating sensors and control systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and improving reliability and performance of in-house machines. The role involves close collaboration with design, software, and production teams to translate parametric and AI-driven design outputs into efficient, scalable fabrication workflows. The Robotics Engineer will also contribute to documentation, safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives in line with Proditecture’s sustainability and quality goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Robotics and Process Automation, including experience with industrial robots, motion control, and automated fabrication systems.
Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, such as programming in languages commonly used for robotics (e.g., Python, C/C++, ROS) and integrating control software with design tools.
Candidates should possess well-developed Analytical Skills for system optimization, data-driven problem-solving, and performance tuning of robotic workflows.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document technical processes, and present findings clearly.
Experience with CAD/CAM tools, parametric design, or 3D printing technologies is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards, control systems (PLC, embedded systems), and sustainable manufacturing practices is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore in a hybrid arrangement, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
