Role Description The Data Entry Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Cannanore. The role involves accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in digital and physical records related to local government and Kudumbasree programs. Daily tasks include verifying information, organizing documents, generating simple reports, and supporting administrative processes in coordination with staff and community stakeholders. The Data Entry Assistant will also assist with basic filing, data retrieval, and responding to information requests in a professional and timely manner. Consistent attention to detail, adherence to data protection guidelines, and collaboration with team members are essential.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance and Customer Service skills to support office operations and interact respectfully with community members.
Candidates should possess solid Computer Literacy and Typing skills to manage databases, spreadsheets, and other digital tools efficiently.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to share information clearly with colleagues, local officials, and program participants.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling repetitive tasks.
Basic knowledge of data management or office software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheet applications) is preferred.
Prior experience in a government, community development, or NGO setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
Minimum educational qualification: secondary school completion; higher qualifications in administration or IT are beneficial.
Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and willingness to learn local procedures and guidelines.
