Role Description The Semi Qualified Company Secretary will support corporate secretarial, compliance, and governance activities on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include assisting in preparation and filing of ROC and other statutory forms, drafting minutes, resolutions, and notices, maintaining statutory registers and records, and coordinating with clients for required information and documentation. The role also involves supporting board and general meeting processes, helping with compliance calendars, monitoring due dates, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular office attendance and close collaboration with senior professionals.
Qualifications
Progress toward Company Secretary qualification (passed some CS professional or executive level modules) and strong interest in corporate laws and governance.
Knowledge of Companies Act, corporate compliance procedures, and basic understanding of ROC filings and secretarial standards.
Ability to draft clear and precise minutes, resolutions, and formal communications with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email communication, and basic document management tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to professional ethics; willingness to learn and take initiative.
Prior internship or work experience in a CS or compliance firm is an advantage; familiarity with compliance software tools is beneficial.
