Role Description The Crane role at Kbn Crane Service is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will operate cranes for lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment according to project plans and supervisor instructions. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting cranes before use, monitoring load weights, following safety protocols, and coordinating with ground staff and signal personnel to execute lifts safely and efficiently. The role also involves keeping basic operational records, reporting equipment issues promptly, and assisting with routine maintenance and housekeeping in the work area. The position requires working in outdoor and construction environments, following all site rules, and collaborating closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to operate cranes or heavy lifting equipment safely, with understanding of load charts and basic rigging principles.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards, including PPE use, signaling methods, and adherence to relevant local regulations and company procedures.
Basic mechanical aptitude to perform daily equipment checks, identify potential faults, and communicate maintenance needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with site supervisors, signalers, and other crew members.
Prior experience in crane operation, construction, or industrial sites is preferred; recognized crane operator certification or license is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, adapt to shifting schedules and project demands, and perform duties in varying weather and site conditions.
Minimum educational background at secondary school level or equivalent; additional technical training in heavy equipment operation is beneficial.
