Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview
UdyamEdge Private Limited is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to serve as its Project Engineer and on-site representative for the turnkey PMC engagement. The engineer will supervise daily execution, coordinate stakeholders, maintain reliable project records and drive reporting through UdyamEdge digital systems and approved SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, utility and machinery-installation activities at site.
· Monitor work against the finalized DPR, approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, budget and project schedule.
· Coordinate Client representatives, contractors, vendors, machinery suppliers and Client-appointed professionals.
· Track daily manpower, materials, machinery, work fronts, measurements, progress and completion status.
· Maintain daily progress reports, photographs, issue logs, inspection records and supporting evidence.
· Update schedules, approvals, documents, risks and progress through UdyamEdge SaaS and digital workflows.
· Implement project-specific SOPs, checklists, reporting formats and document-control requirements.
· Monitor workmanship, quality, safety and compliance, and promptly report any deviation or unsafe practice.
· Coordinate material receipt, installation, inspections, testing, trials, rectification and commissioning.
· Prepare progress evidence and documentation required for management review and bank-disbursement support.
· Support production readiness, storage, utilities, raw-material infrastructure and operational planning.
· Participate in weekly reviews and provide complete information for the monthly progress tracker.
· Assist visiting UdyamEdge Advisors, Mentors, Engineers and Experts during reviews and milestone visits.
· Escalate delays, cost risks, quality failures, safety concerns and decision requirements without delay.
Qualification and Experience
· Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Production or a related engineering discipline.
· Preferably 2-5 years of experience in industrial projects, manufacturing plants, EPC, construction supervision, machinery erection or commissioning.
· Experience in biomass, pellet, briquette, agro-processing or process-industry projects will be an advantage.
· Working knowledge of drawings, BOQ, measurements, project scheduling, quality control and site safety.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, digital reporting tools and project-management applications.
· A valid motorized two-wheeler driving licence and legal eligibility to operate the vehicle are required.

· Ability to work independently while following UdyamEdge instructions, SOPs and escalation protocols.
· Professional communication with the Client, contractors, vendors, lenders and visiting experts.
· High standards of discipline, integrity, ownership, confidentiality and timely reporting.
· Willingness to remain site-based and work flexible hours according to project requirements.
· Commitment to complete the minimum one-year contractual engagement.
Reporting and Performance Review
The Site Engineer will report to the UdyamEdge Core Management Team and coordinate operationally with the Client authorized representative. Performance will be reviewed through daily records, weekly reviews and monthly progress tracking, with emphasis on execution control, reporting quality, discipline, coordination and timely escalation.
Facilities and Working Conditions
· The Client will arrange adequate, safe and habitable accommodation, subject to availability, reasonably near the project site and local market.
· Accommodation may be shared with other UdyamEdge personnel and visiting team members, with reasonable safety, suitability and privacy.
· A company-owned motorized two-wheeler may be provided for authorized daily project travel, subject to availability.
· Project-related local operational expenses will be handled according to the approved PMC and project policy.
Contract and Compensation
The appointment will be contractual for a minimum period of one year. Notice, confidentiality, conduct, performance and exit conditions will be governed by the appointment agreement. Compensation will be finalized based on qualification, relevant experience and suitability for the assignment.
