Workshop Operations & Installation Manager

Role Description The Workshop Operations & Installation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our client's Workshop in Pune. This position is responsible for planning and overseeing daily workshop activities, including scheduling jobs, assigning tasks to technicians, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. The role includes coordinating installation projects at client sites, preparing resources and materials, managing timelines, and supervising installation teams to deliver reliable and efficient outcomes. The manager will maintain inventory and procurement for workshop and installation needs, optimize processes, and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients, preparing operational reports, resolving issues proactively, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across workshop and installation operations.
Qualifications
Strong workshop management and operations skills, including job scheduling, resource planning, workflow optimization, and adherence to safety standards.
Hands-on experience in installation management, site coordination, technical supervision, and quality control for on-site implementation projects.
Experience with process standardization, SOP development, and operational efficiency improvement, ideally in a technical or industrial environment.
Competence in inventory control, sourcing, and vendor coordination to ensure timely availability of tools, materials, and equipment.
Solid organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients in a professional manner.
Prior experience in workshop, facilities, or installation management; experience in consulting or service-oriented businesses is an advantage.
Relevant technical or engineering qualification (diploma or degree) preferred; additional certifications in safety, quality, or project management are beneficial.
Comfort working on-site in the Pune Division and readiness to visit client locations as required.
