Role Description The Cyber Security Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. This role involves monitoring security events and alerts, analyzing potential threats, and responding to incidents in a timely and structured manner. The analyst will assess vulnerabilities in applications and networks, support security assessments and audits, and assist in implementing security controls and best practices. Daily responsibilities include reviewing logs, investigating malware or suspicious activity, documenting findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with IT and development teams to improve the overall security posture. The role also includes contributing to security awareness initiatives and staying current with emerging threats, tools, and frameworks.
Qualifications
Strong cybersecurity fundamentals, including knowledge of security frameworks, threat landscapes, and risk management.
Network Security skills, such as configuring and monitoring firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architectures.
Application Security skills, including understanding secure coding principles, common vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
Malware Analysis capabilities to identify, analyze, and respond to malicious software and related indicators of compromise.
Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, correlate events, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, vulnerability scanners, and log analysis tools.
Relevant certification (e.g., Security+, CEH, SSCP, or equivalent) and a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field are preferred.
Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a structured, on-site environment.
