Role Description The Architectural Drafter at HAD Space will support the design team by producing detailed architectural and construction drawings for residential, commercial, and interior projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and refining plans, sections, elevations, and details; translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings; and coordinating drawing updates based on design reviews and site feedback. The role also involves assisting with spatial planning, preparing documentation for project approvals, and collaborating with architects, designers, and project coordinators to ensure alignment between design intent and execution. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with the studio team and occasional coordination with vendors and site professionals.
Qualifications
Ability to create precise Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings that align with project requirements and building standards.
Strong foundation in Architecture and Planning, with an understanding of spatial organization, building codes, and functional layouts.
Proficiency in technical Drawing, including plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
Experience with CAD and architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
Relevant diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a closely related field.
Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to follow and interpret design guidelines.
Effective collaboration skills, ability to take feedback constructively, and work within project timelines on-site in Chennai.
Knowledge of materials, construction methods, and interior detailing is an advantage.
