Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Chhattisgarh, India. The Civil Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, including site supervision, coordination with contractors and suppliers, and monitoring work progress against plans and schedules. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, estimates, and technical reports, as well as ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, and supporting project planning, resource allocation, and cost control. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess strong civil engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of structural design, materials, and construction methods.
The candidate should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
The candidate should possess proficiency in relevant engineering and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar drafting software, MS Office for documentation and reporting).
The candidate should possess abilities in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and basic cost estimation.
The candidate should possess knowledge of site safety practices, quality control procedures, and local building codes and regulations.
The candidate should possess strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with site staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
The candidate should possess problem-solving and decision-making skills for addressing on-site technical and operational issues.
A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution is preferred; relevant on-site experience in construction projects is an advantage.
