Our flagship resort in Wayanad is nestled amidst misty hills, tea estates and forest landscapes, offering thoughtfully designed accommodation, personalised hospitality and immersive experiences inspired by the natural and cultural character of the region.
As we build Mihra Mist into a distinctive hospitality brand, we are looking for a dynamic hospitality professional who can take ownership of resort operations while actively contributing to sales, business development, guest experience and revenue growth.The Opportunity
We are looking for a Resort Operations & Business Development Manager who will play a key role in managing the resort's day-to-day operations while developing new business opportunities and strengthening the property's market presence.
The ideal candidate will combine strong operational leadership with a sales-oriented mindset, ensuring that the resort delivers consistent service standards while achieving occupancy and revenue objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesResort Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort and ensure smooth functioning across departments.
Coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen and Engineering/Maintenance operations.
Maintain high standards of guest service, hospitality and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with resort SOPs, service standards and operational procedures.
Supervise staff deployment, duty rosters, attendance, performance and discipline.
Handle guest feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally.
Identify operational gaps and implement corrective measures.
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of departmental SOPs.
Sales & Business Development
Drive room occupancy, direct bookings, revenue and overall business growth.
Generate and convert leads from individual travellers, families, corporates, travel agents, tour operators and institutional clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with OTA partners, travel agencies, corporate accounts and local tourism stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for corporate retreats, MICE, group bookings, celebrations and destination experiences.
Develop attractive packages, promotions and seasonal offers in coordination with management.
Follow up on enquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
Monitor competitor offerings, market trends, pricing and demand patterns.
Explore new distribution channels and strategic business partnerships.
Revenue & Performance
Monitor occupancy, ADR, booking sources and revenue performance.
Work closely with management on pricing, promotions and revenue-generation strategies.
Prepare regular operations, sales and business-development reports.
Take ownership of agreed operational and commercial targets.
Ideal Candidate
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
3–5+ years of relevant experience in hotel, resort or hospitality operations.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Front Office and overall resort operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strong guest-service orientation with a professional approach.
Demonstrated ability to generate leads and convert business opportunities.
Good understanding of OTAs, online booking platforms, PMS and channel management systems will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently, solve problems and take ownership of responsibilities.
Willingness to work in a hands-on resort environment and flexible operational schedules.
