Role Description The Assistant Dental Doctor is a full-time, on-site role based at New Global Dent in Banjara Hills. In this position, the team member supports senior dental doctors in providing clinical care, including assisting during examinations and procedures, preparing treatment areas, and managing instruments and materials. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, explaining procedures, offering pre- and post-treatment guidance, and helping ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The role also involves coordinating with front-desk staff on appointments, maintaining accurate clinical records, and monitoring treatment progress. The Assistant Dental Doctor is expected to contribute to a positive patient experience, uphold professional standards, and participate in ongoing clinical learning and case discussions.
Qualifications
Formal dental education (BDS or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility to practice as per local regulations.
Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, chairside assistance techniques, and basic diagnostic methods.
Understanding of infection control, sterilization protocols, and clinical safety standards in a dental setting.
Strong communication skills for explaining treatments, providing patient education, and collaborating with the dental team.
Ability to manage clinical documentation, maintain patient records accurately, and support appointment coordination.
Attention to detail, empathetic patient care, and a professional, ethical approach to clinical practice.
Willingness to learn new techniques, adapt to clinic protocols, and participate in continuing professional development.
Prior experience in a dental clinic or internship in a dental practice is an advantage.
