About the internship
Emaro Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds Kairos, an on-premises industrial AI knowledge platform for MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) industries. Kairos gives field technicians source-backed troubleshooting guidance from their company's own approved manuals and procedures. We are incubated at IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre and are members of NVIDIA Inception and Microsoft for Startups.
This is an unpaid internship. There is no stipend or salary for this role. Please read the terms below carefully before applying.
Terms
Compensation: Unpaid. No stipend is offered for this internship.
Duration: 3 months.
Location: Remote, open to candidates anywhere in India. No travel or relocation is required.
Commitment: 5 days a week, with flexible working hours.
Agreement: Selected interns sign an internship agreement covering confidentiality and ownership of work.
Certificate of completion provided at the end of the internship.
Role
You will work as a UI/UX Design Intern alongside our founding team. You will design real interfaces end to end, from early concepts to developer-ready designs, rather than work on isolated practice exercises.
Responsibilities
- Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Design high-fidelity interfaces for desktop and mobile.
- Design for field technicians working in industrial environments, where clarity and speed matter more than decoration.
- Create and maintain reusable components in Figma and keep the interface visually consistent.
- Prepare clear, developer-ready handoffs and review the built result against your designs.
- Take part in design reviews and planning discussions, and iterate on your work based on feedback.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Figma, including components, auto layout, and prototyping.
- Basic understanding of UX principles, including information architecture, visual hierarchy, typography, and accessibility.
- A portfolio of UI/UX work that shows your process, not just final screens. Student and personal projects are welcome.
- Ability to explain your design decisions clearly.
- Available to commit 5 days a week for the full 3 months.
